Search Engine Submission

I will optimize your website to improve its place in the search engine rankings.  It is important to get listed on the major search engines (Yahoo, MSN, Google, Ask .....) to enhance the usefulness of your website and to be visible to your potential customers.  I have the knowledge and experience needed to make your website and your business visible to the world.

An explanation of website optimization:

Overview – How a website becomes ranked on the search engines is partially dependent on including the proper text that a search engine will look for. That is not the only factor, however.  A website that is promoting a very specific and less-common product or service can be much easier to rank near the top since there may be less competition.  Unfortunately, there are never any guarantees when it comes to getting your web site listed and where it will rank unless you choose to pay for a "sponsored" listing. In most cases,     websites will eventually get listed by being found by the "web bots" sent out by the search engines, but they may not necessarily be listed near the top.   It is therefore very important to focus on using  relevant text and hidden keywords in a manner that they will list your site prominently.  I try to keep these tips in mind while I   write information text to use in creating your website.

Tags are located in the HTML code of the site.  Most of these tags are not viewed by the visitor, but they are looked at by search engines trying to determine who you are, what you do and where you should be ranked on that particular search engine.

Title tag – The title tag is used to list some specific and precise keywords while also listing the title of your company.

Description tag - Here I  write short, sentences describing your company while avoiding "worthless" promotional words that a potential visitor would not generally use to search for the product or service he is looking for.  I try to keep the description tag between 225 - 250 characters.

Keyword tag – These are words that could be used to search for your company.  I include ALL aspects of your company, as many products that you sell, every service you perform, your physical location (city and state) plus surrounding locations if your location could be important to a potential visitor.  Any words and combination of words in phrases is helpful here.  I try to keep the keyword tag in your web site from exceeding 1000 characters.

Page Text ~ Home Page - The home page should have text that clearly describes your business and products.  The search engines use this text on the page as its primary search tool.  I try to include as much text as feasible without making the site hard to read or to navigate. (usually about 150 words explaining what your company can do for the visitor).

Page Text ~Sub-pages - Similarly, all the test on all of the pages on your site should have clear and descriptive explanations of your products or services.

Additional links at the bottom of the pages - The links to the pages of your website are another important consideration for the search engines.  Since search engines do not read Java Script code,  I include a copy of the links on the bottom of the pages not only for the search engines' benefit, but also for the visitor's ease of navigating on the site.  The visitor can then access additional links to your pages without having to go back to the top.
